Unfortunately, our weekly and biweekly classes are temporarily shuttered due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to making an announcement soon about when our classes will open again!
In the meantime, learn more about Freewheel’s regular weekly or biweekly offerings:
We run Build-A-Bike every other week. It’s our flagship class, and for good reason: it teaches you to build a bike from the ground up!
You are welcome to bring your own bike, or find a frame here in the shop. We offer both free frames, and frames for sale.
Basic Maintenance is our general educational class. It provides students with hands-on instruction about how to care for their bike.
Bring a bike to work on and ask the instructor questions, or stay tuned for announcements about special class series about fundamental maintenance skills.
Women, trans, and femme
Freewheel works hard to make its classes welcoming for all humans. But we recognize that many people — such as women, trans people, and gender-variant people — find many bike spaces unwelcoming.
Women, Trans, and Femme (lovingly known as WTF) is the same basic maintenance class as always. But to keep the environment safe and comfortable, we request that attendees identify as women, trans, or gender-variant. (Sorry, cis guys — we have plenty of other events for you!)
